Participants learn to use Japanese painting equipment [ink stone, ink stick, Sumi-e brush, Sumi paper] to paint subjects while spontaneously expressing with the brush. I will have samples for participants to copy or they can paint their own subjects.

Hands on Children's Museum fundraiser Sumi-e donations
A few years back I donated four pieces to the Hands On Children's Museum.
We have had them framed and are preparing to use them as fundraising pieces in our SandBlast! Waterfront Gala and auction on August 27th.
The four pieces are: one frog, one cat with a spider, one cat with a bird and a goldfish with a snail. They snapped a few quick shots of three of them.
We have had them framed and are preparing to use them as fundraising pieces in our SandBlast! Waterfront Gala and auction on August 27th.
They want to be able to give you credit as well as let folks know what they are looking at so I sent them some information...

Olympia's Artist Garage Sale was great - lost my voice from talking sooooo much when handing out my class schedules... Sold a few cards, bookmark and one small original collage and had lots of fun!
Sanded, put wood putty on, re-sanded, and have 1.5 coats of Primer on my Adirondack chair for the Ruston Parks silent auction fundraiser. Can' wait for this tendious stuff to get done so I can paint my actual design that is sooooo clear in my mind! Fundraiser... June 21-July 4th - benefits Arts & Parks activities in Ruston.
