Today the jury reviews the submissions for the Olympia Art Walk 2010 Spring & Fall Art Walk cover. It's a very interesting process to be on a review panel or just watch the process. Most of the time the artists are top notch but their images of their work vary from decidedly poorly photographed to professional grade. Often that does make a big difference in the way the art is viewed on many levels... if photos of their work is so poorly done are they professional enough to do the commission of the cover. Also the jury can be so subjective according to each members personal taste.
If you are one of the two selected artists, you receive $600 and your finished piece become part of the Olympia art collection which is currently hung in the rooms in the Olympia Center building.
